Introducing Your Teachers for Spring Semester
Discover Think Academy’s outstanding teachers who simplify learning, provide heartfelt support, and earn glowing praise from parents like, “My child looks forward to class!” Curious about their stories? Read on!
PreK-Joanna
In Joanna’s Class, Every Child Feels Seen, learning always starts with connection.
Each class begins with a mindful check-in, where Joanna asks, “How are you feeling today?” and invites children to show their emotions through simple gestures like forming a heart or a blooming flower with their hands. It’s a beautiful way for even the youngest learners, who may not yet have all the words, to express how they feel. Joanna also shares her own feelings with the class so that children learn emotions are safe, natural, and worth expressing.
As the lesson comes to an end, she leads the class in a joyful ritual: “Give yourself a clap!” The group audio is on, and the room fills with tiny clapping sounds and laughter. It is a small but powerful moment that celebrates effort, confidence, and courage.
Parents often say Joanna’s class feels different-calm, warm, and full of connection. She turns every lesson into a space where children feel seen, supported, and proud of themselves. In Joanna’s class, every child’s voice truly matters.

Grade4-Omar
Thinking Big, Teaching Smart: Spotlight on Mr. Omar
This semester, Mr. Omar continues to be a key teacher for the Grade 4 Honors class. As an educator passionate about promoting educational equity, he firmly believes that high-quality education should be accessible to every student, regardless of their background. He is enthusiastic about educational technology and hopes to use digital tools to provide learners around the world with high-quality, low-cost, or even free educational resources.
In the classroom, Mr. Omar’s teaching is logical, engaging, and student-centered. He excels at breaking down complex concepts into manageable parts, guiding students step-by-step to think critically and participate actively, helping them grasp difficult topics with ease while fostering independent thinking. Additionally, Mr. Omar provides detailed weekly feedback to parents in both English and Chinese, keeping them well-informed about their child’s classroom performance and homework progress.
Outside of teaching, Mr. Omar enjoys playing music and spending time with his cats.
We are very fortunate to have such a dedicated and visionary teacher on our team. As Mr. Omar himself says, “I believe that through online education and technology, everyone can have access to high-quality learning opportunities, no matter where they are.”

AMC8-Yao
Not only a math teacher, but also a soulful artist
As a math teacher with a passion for art, she firmly believes that math classes can be both engaging and warm. In her daily teaching, she pays close attention to each child’s learning progress, ensuring timely communication with parents to support children in their growth through consistent professional guidance and encouragement. She hopes her classroom is not just a space for “teaching problems,” but a place of inspiration and motivation.
When grading homework, she loves to draw little stickers to praise students for their clear thinking and beautifully laid-out problem-solving steps. At the start of the next class, she makes it a point to recognize their hard work and reward them with extra coins. The happiest moments for her are seeing students learn from one another, actively ask questions, and watching more and more “Homework Stars” shine in the classroom.
The small signs of progress that parents share with her after class also bring her immense joy and fulfillment. These moments of trust and affirmation strengthen her belief that the true meaning of education lies in the genuine care and effort dedicated to every student.

Algebra1-Katerina
Teacher Katerina is a compassionate and empathetic math teacher whose own childhood experience shapes her teaching philosophy. As a child, she once struggled with math herself—an experience that now allows her to truly understand her students’ feelings and challenges. It was precisely this journey that inspired her to pursue a career in math education, hoping to make learning math a positive and enjoyable experience for every child.
In the classroom, Katerina is known for her patience and encouragement. She takes time to listen, to explain carefully, and to help each student find confidence step by step. Outside the classroom, she maintains active communication with parents—even creating a WeChat account to stay connected despite not speaking Chinese—because she believes strong collaboration with families is key to every child’s success.
Katerina’s story reminds us that sometimes the best math teachers are those who once found math difficult—because they know exactly how to make it understandable, relatable, and full of joy.

Explore the Journey: Think Middle School Track

- Core+:Through previewing and consolidating key knowledge, and precise practice, we can achieve the goal of getting an A in mathematics easily in the same grade as the students in the same year.
- Honors:With one year ahead of the same grade CC and increasing the difficulty of learning, students can enter the fastest class in public schools, complete 5 STEM AP courses before high school graduation, and achieve the goal of full score in SAT/ACT math.
- Challenge:Complete the CC curriculum two years ahead of schedule, enter the middle school system at the fastest pace comparable to top private schools, finish Precalculus by 9th grade, and be well prepared to take more AP courses and participate in various enrichment programs from grades 10 to 12 — ultimately completing 8 STEM AP courses before high school graduation.
- Competition: After completing Pre-Algebra, students enter the competition track, with the first-year goal of achieving an AMC8 HR score.
In the second year (spring), they move into the Intro level, completing the core contents of Algebra 1 and Geometry within one year to build a strong foundation for comprehensive AMC10 preparation.
In the third year, students advance to the AIME Camp, where they master all AMC10 topics across Algebra, Geometry, Number Theory, and Combinatorics. The goal is to qualify for AIME or higher in the fall AMC10 exam.
Principal Mail Box

Q1: Who should I contact after enrolling in a course? How are teacher responsibilities divided? For example, if I have questions about course content, should I contact the teacher or the Customer Service?
For any questions, you can always consult the school director (Customer Service) first—our customer service will connect you with all the resources you need at Think Academy!
a. Teacher Responsibilities
Your class teacher is responsible for your child’s academic performance and learning progress. They send weekly class reports via email, provide feedback on homework and in-class progress, and share monthly learning summaries based on the “Four Lessons, One Assessment” model. Parent meetings are held mid-term and end-of-term to discuss curriculum plans. To reach the teacher, you can email them directly, message the director via WeChat, or use the “Chat with Teacher” feature on the Parent App to request a chat or a call.
b. Customer Service Responsibilities
On the Parent App, Customer Support serves as your dedicated “customer service manager” at Think Academy. They ensure a seamless post-enrollment experience, handling services such as class transfers or adjustments (recommended via the app/website for convenience), shipping updates, basic course inquiries, learning activities, post-class services, connecting with lead teachers, and managing feedback/complaints.
☎️ Hotline: +1 (844)-844-6587 (available 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM PST). You can contact Think’s customer service team anytime via phone for immediate assistance!
Q2: The Office Hour session only has one fixed time, which is inconvenient for us due to scheduling conflicts or time zone differences. While the recorded session is helpful, we would prefer live interactions.
Thank you so much for your feedback! Our team is currently working to coordinate more flexible schedules for teachers and aims to provide additional live Office Hour sessions for students in every grade level. The current progress is that during the Spring Semester (January–May 2026), we expect to gradually open extra sessions based on teacher availability and grade needs.
We truly appreciate your patience and look forward to offering more choices for students while maintaining the quality of our classes.
Q3: I hope my child can receive more attention and be called upon more often during class. How does Think Academy ensure that teachers engage equally with all students during classroom interactions?
Think Academy’s teachers prioritize personalized attention for every child, both during and after class. Each lesson includes interactive questions, submission-based tasks with personalized feedback, and opportunities for individual participation, ensuring 2–3 personalized interactions per student per session. Teachers also address disengagement promptly through a monitoring system. Beyond the classroom, attention continues with detailed homework corrections, progress tracking, personalized reports, and regular updates for parents to support each child’s growth and learning progress.

Hi, There are a lot of issues I want to provide feedback on:
1. The customer service feature in the app has a lot of issues. I have opened at least 5 agent sessions today about the same topic. As soon as the agent provides an answer and doesn’t get a response in 2 mins, they close the chat. Then I have to start all over again with the new agent. The agent sometimes takes more than 2-3 mins to get back but as soon as I go away for 2mins, the chat has ended again. Please make sure the chat is open for at least 10mins of idling before closing. This is not productive use of your agents’ time nor my time.
2. My child accidentally left the mock exam because they had something else to do. When they came back, it submitted the incomplete exam and won’t let her go back in. I don’t want her to see the solution. All I need is a PDF version or to be able to get the questions so that she can do them before the explanation class. The agent said we can do it as homework after the class. That would be useless. Also, the agent says they have “bind” the mock exam but I don’t see it anywhere in the app. Please add a PDF version for the parents to use if their kids accidentally submit an incomplete exam.
These issues have wasted my day today and my child didn’t get a chance to do this exam during a day that she actually has time.
Thank you for sharing this feedback — we’re truly sorry for the inconvenience this caused today.
For the mock exam PDF, could you please contact us through the Parent App and let the agent know directly which PDF you need? They can send the PDF to you.
If the Parent App is not working, you may also leave us a message on the website IM, including your email + the exact mock exam PDF you need, and we will send it to you as soon as possible.
Thank you again for your patience, and we’re sorry for the trouble this caused your day.
